JCR Sports Officer (2017/2018)
The JCR Sports Officer is responsible for the overseeing of all our our Sports Clubs. Butler currently has over 20 sports clubs and over 40 individual teams who all have varying needs. The Sports Officer is in regular contact with Team Durham to ensure the smooth running of the college sport programme.
The Sports Officer sits on Exec Committee, Finance Committee and Gym Committee.
Media/Broadcasting Society President (2017/2018)
As President of Media Society I am responsible for organising meetings and creating and editing written, audio and video content for our 'Butler Hub' website. I also attend regular diversity panel meetings at ITV News Tyne Tees with other members of the society to give feedback about the representation of students and young people in local news. Through our link with ITV Tyne Tees we are also able to organise studio tours and networking events for students aspiring to a career in the media.
Assistant Sports Officer (2016/2017)
The Assistant Sports Officer is responsible for helping the Sports Officer organise and run activities and events that aim to increase sports participation at Butler, as well as assisting the Sports Officer in representing Team Butler at a university-wide level.
