JCR Welfare Officer (2017/2018)
The JCR Welfare Officer is a point of contact for anyone experiencing a welfare issue. The Welfare Officer (and the Welfare Assistants) are here to listen to Butlerites talk through any problems or issues. We do not give advice, but do offer support and can signpost towards university welfare services and people to talk to in college who can do more to help. For more information about ways to get in touch, please see the welfare pages under the 'support' tab. The Welfare team also give out free supplies, including safe sex supplies. These can be requested anonymously on the welfare pages of the website.
The Welfare Officer also oversees Welfare Committee. Welfare Comm run campaign weeks across the year that aim to provide information and support about a range of welfare issues. For more information about Welfare Committee, including how to get involved with campaigns and events, see the welfare pages of the website.
Assistant Welfare Officer (2016/2017)
The Assistant Welfare Officer supports the welfare officer in their role, including organising and running welfare campaign weeks. They are also a point of contact for anyone to get in touch with if they have a welfare issue.
